Concert / Sing-along / Fundraiser

Carry It On and State St. United Methodist Church are partnering to present a fantastic event for a fantastic cause! Pastor Elias and Tapuwa Mumbiro are retiring after forty years in the ministry, and would love to have you join in this evening dedicated to help them continue to be faithful to their post-retirement calling. They will be returning to their native country, Zimbabwe, this fall, and are raising funds to furnish a generator and other supplies to help others there. If you are able to help with this project financially, there will be an opportunity to do that. Your gift will be greatly appreciated and applied to a very worthy cause! The mid-Michigan based Peter, Paul, and Mary tribute band, Carry It On, will be providing music that you can sing along with, or just enjoy listening to and reminiscing over. Refreshments will follow after the service. Spread the word, and be ready to both receive and be a blessing! Unable to attend? If so, you can forward your donation toward this worthy cause to State Street UMC. (Benefit Concert) Mark your calendar now for Thursday, May 28th at 7 pm and come ready to enjoy an evening of reminiscing, celebrating, and fun as well as furthering God's work.

WASSUP! - Carry It On to headline ukulele festival in March, 2015

Picture Peter, Paul, and Mary with ukuleles, and come and see (and hear) that actually happen...

SUGAR (the Saginaw Ukulele Gurus And Rookies) and FMSM (the Folk Music Society of Midland) are sponsoring a new ukulele festival on Friday, March 13th, and Saturday, March 14th, 2015, and you're invited.  See the flyer below for some of the details (a program with more precise information is still in the works), and plan to attend.  There will be workshops for the "I've never played an instrument" crowd as well as experienced musicians, as well as open mics for those who wish to perform, group strums, and classrooms for "do-it-yourself" jamming.
